Willie is a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Z Health Movement Coach (R and I Phase), Kettlebell Instructor and founder of IRON-CORE FiT. Willie provides an intense and dynamic approach to his training while maintaining a positive and fun atmosphere. With his experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and background in physical rehabilitation he incorporates functional movements and injury prevention as the framework for his workouts.

Julie, AKA The Boss Lady, is a TFW Certified Level 1 Coach, Iron Core Fit Kettlebell Coach, and TRX qualified. She joined the Iron Core Fit in 2011 as a client to find relief from the fibromyalgia symptoms she was struggling with. Her personal goals were to lose weight and feel better. Julie not only lost 50 pounds, but also gained strength and increased mobility, which eventually resulted in her becoming pain and symptom free. Julie applies the lessons learned in her life changing transformation, and her belief in the benefits of exercise in pain management, toward her coaching. Helping her clients achieve their goals is her priority! She strives to motivate her clients with positive enthusiasm, enjoyable and effective workouts, and with an emphasis on injury prevention. Julie is currently working toward her NSCA Personal Training certification.
Jillian attended school at Western Washington University and earned a BS Degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Physical Therapy. She is also an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Orthopedic Exercise Specialist, and a TRX Suspension and Group Qualified Trainer. Growing up, she played sports here and there but found her true passion in strength training, hiking, and yoga. She has worked in various physical therapy/athletic training settings and has been a personal trainer at the WWU Recreation Center. Jillian loves learning new things about fitness every day and learning new things from her clients. She hopes that she can help her clients find their own passions through activity and movement!
Kate’s love of movement began with dance. During her early years, she was introduced to Pilates training which became a valuable source of conditioning and maintenance during her years as a dancer. In 2006, she solidified her interest in body mechanics and injury rehabilitation by training as a Pilates Instructor. She holds a BS in Environmental Science from Western Washington University, an MFA in Choreography and Performance from Mills College and locally works as a Licensed Massage Practitioner and Certified Pediatric Massage Therapist. As a bodyworker and instructor, Kate is passionate about whole body wellness and somatic awareness. She enjoys finding the parallels between Pilates and TRX Suspension Training; building stability, mobility and agility!
Yusen has a BS in Exercise Science and Health from the University of Idaho, is an NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist and TRX qualified coach. Here at Iron-Core Fit, he brings his passion for educating his clients about improving their own performance, whether it be increasing athletic ability or rehabilitating an injury. Away from the gym, you can find Yusen out playing ultimate frisbee, hiking, snowboarding and enjoying a good beer. In addition to coaching, Yusen is attending massage school, where he deepens his knowledge of the human body.

Growing up as a competitive soccer player, Dan is no stranger to injury, recovery, and intense physical training. In 2001 he completed the Fitness Specialist program at Lake Washington Technical College and he uses that education, in addition to his nearly 20 years of fitness experience, to help his clients reach their goals. He is a Professional Natural Bodybuilder as well as a Kettlebell and TRX Qualified Coach. If you want to get on Dan’s good side, bring him some Chipotle, though he won’t let you skip your last set!
Blake received his BS in Exercise Science from Central Washington University with a minor in Athletic Training. As an ACE Certified Personal Trainer he started seeking out how to better coach and improve lives of others. This led him to focus on restoring proper movement with Functional Movement Systems. Then, 4 years ago, he became a certified StrongFirst Kettlebell Instructor and a CHEK Holistic Lifestyles Coach. After traveling for the past two years, he embarked on a month long 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training course. Now, with even more tools and knowledge of how to stay fit anywhere, he has come to share his passion of strength, movement, and life here at Iron-Core Fit.
Katie Kelly is a performance coach, wellness specialist, personal trainer and barre guru with a strong passion for fitness and motivating others. In 2016, Katie finished her Master’s degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Cal-U, is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Functional Movement Specialist (FMS) and Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ) coach. She also has her Post Baccalaureate in nutrition, B.A. in dance and education and was a University of Washington Cheerleader. Katie has been a fitness coach since 2009, with extensive experience working with adults and youth to help improve their overall level of health and fitness.
Katie’s love for exercise ignited from a young age as an elite track athlete, competitive soccer player, and dancer. In preparation for a competition, additional exercise was key for a high level of performance and injury prevention. With a few injuries during Katie’s journey, she found a love for core stability and functional movement exercises that she incorporates into her training. Her joy as a fitness professional comes from motivating others to be their ‘best self’ mentally and physically and to transform the energy of each individual.
